Marius Nilsen is a Norwegian creative director, photographer and filmmaker working at the intersection of brand, culture and the outdoors.

With more than 20 years of experience across photography, visual communication and brand development, his practice combines strategic brand understanding with hands-on creative production. Marius Builds coherent visual worlds across photography, film, editorial and digital platforms rather than treating individual assets in isolation.
His background spans fine-art and documentary photography, publishing and editorial work, brand strategy and design, as well as commercial photography and filmmaking. This allows him to work across the full creative process – from positioning, concept and narrative development to art direction, photography, film and final execution.
Having worked both inside creative agencies and directly with brands, Marius brings an understanding of not only how images are made, but why they are made, what they need to communicate and how they contribute to building a brand over time.
MARIUS LIVES in the mountains of Oppdal, Norway and THe Majority of his commercial work have been produced in or around the mountains with strong aims to have minimal impact the environment.
He tries to the best of his ability to not to travel for work and operate under the principle that he Only collaborates with companies that are Actively making efforts to minimize their production and actively engage in reducing, reusing and recycling their products.
